UNTOUCHABLE

Where is the girl
I used to be?
Where is that
Smiling spirit?
Where is that
Fun loving sprite?
Did she die
When I said "I do"?
Did she fade away
As I became "Mrs"?
Untouchable and invisible
Is what I am now.
No more warm hugs
From friends and acquaintances.
No more kisses
on my cheeks.
No more to feel
That pat on my shoulder.
I miss the hugs.
I miss the kisses.
I miss my voice
Giving my opinion and
Not my husbands.
I would sell my soul,
Some days,
For a warm hug
From someone who cares.
